An automated cassette tape case cellophane wrapping machine manufactured by Sollas and will wrap around 800 tape cases per hour. The wrap is on a long reel mounted to the machine (cost around £28 for a 1,400 metre length, so around 7k tapes per roll or less than 0.5p per wrapped tape) and this machine whilst currently setup for cassette tapes has also been used for CD jewel case wrapping in the past and can wrap square or rectangular objects of up to around 225mm x 240mm size, it is fully adjustable for the length, width and height of the object to be wrapped, although adjustment will take around 30 minutes or more, so not the sort of thing you want to be doing regularly.

The outer dimensions of the machine are around 160cm long by 90cm deep and with a height of around 176cm. It sits on a square base with a footprint area of 80cm x 80cm and weighs around 600-700kg we believe. It is currently mounted on a small square pallet for easy movement around the factory and is quite happy running off that pallet.

The machine requires a 3 phase electric supply and a compressed air feed, however we can also supply a mini compressor free of charge if you need one to go with the machine. 

This machine comes with an instruction manual with schematics, but the machine itself is from 1996 and has seen better days and is missing some guards and has had temporary fixes where components have worn out hence the large discount over a new machine price, but it is currently in working condition and should last many more years with regular care and servicing.

This machine does not come with any warranty and is sold as is, but does also come with a box of spares and we will include a full reel of cassette cellophane wrap too.

We recommend viewing and checking the machine before purchase (we can demonstrate it for you) and it will need to be collected from us in Lee-on-the-Solent in Hampshire, but can be easily transported in a Luton van with a tail lift.
