Kenwood FL-180 Wow and Flutter Meter and Frequency Counter

A Kenwood FL-180 Wow and Flutter Meter and Frequency Counter to help calibrate the speeds of your decks (in conjunction with a 3kHz continuous tone test tape normally) and to check the wow and flutter of the deck (rotational variation that can induce a warping sound if very bad, normally caused by worn belts, dirty pinch rollers or wear in the motor).

Supplied complete with a long 6.25mm stereo cable to plug in to most cassette deck headphone ports to then playback the continuous tone from the test tape.

This meter will allow you to correct any fast or slow tape wells by adjusting the variable resistor on the back of the motor (or maybe on a circuit board) with a small screwdriver and to also identify any tape wells that have exceptional wow and flutter and may need new belts for example. 

In full working order, runs off normal 240V three pin plug.
