This particular bottle light is filled with top quality sparkling clear crystal glass chippings that have been tumbled (to take off any rough edges) to help diffuse the light and look like crushed ice. Being glass they will not lose their sparkle or fade over time. It is also an environmentally-friendly option, helping to recycle previously used glass and adds about 1kg to the weight of the bottle, making it feel more substantial. The glass chips are between 5mm-8mm in size.
The lighting mode is just a steady on and the light color temperature is 2700-2900K, so not a bright white with a blueish tinge, it is definately a nice warm glow that comes out of the bottle.
The lights contain no mercury and only draw a maximum 400mA current and run cool, so are very energy efficient.
